Who We Are
JP Art Market is both the working studio of visual artist P. Hudson and is also a small community art gallery which Hudson shares with the public 9-10 months each year.Loosely based on artist's co-operatives, the mission of the gallery is to lend support to highly self motivated individuals or small groups, usually fellow artists (but not always) either emerging or well established, who have worked out ideas in a visual way and who are ready to present their work in a low key, wonderfully non judgmental, very diverse Boston neighborhood setting.
Guest curators are usually given free reign, though when Hudson is at the helm the shows lean towards exploring themes of environmental re-use, cultural diversities, animal rights, attuning higher consciousnesses and compassionate reasoning, travel, the human condition, human body and patterns as language.
